Very happy with this selection Clock is working fine, have had no problems and has a very nice look to it. Wanted a small clock with a contemporary design to put in a blue bedroom. This is very attractive, takes up little space and the color display actually adds to the decor. Purchase price was right.
Since this one had the same exact mechanism and the sound, he decided to use it. I bought it for myself, then my husband's alarm clock which he had for nearly 20 years went down. It is the simplest clock with loud and annoying alarm --- exactly what he needs.
He is a light sleeper and wakes up fine on the quieter setting, whereas I sleep like a log but wake up great on the loud setting. I am only noting this for people who might read this review and order based on those features. It also does not have the night light that my old one has. It has served us well for over 2 1/2 years, and after sharing it all this time (my husband resets it for me every morning when he gets up) we realized that we should just get a 2nd one. My old one is model SPC020, which has those 2 features.
Takes up very little room. :) One feature we like is the 2-volume setting. Edit: I just received the 2nd one and found it to not have the high/low volume setting that I previously wrote about. Whereas this SPC019 does not. This alarm clock is very attractive on your nightstand.
I'm placing my order right now so we'll have his 'n' hers matching alarm clocks on our nightstands. Upon further inspection, I realized that I did not check the model # before writing my review.
If the lamp is on, then I can hardly see the time. I put it on a nightstand. It is good when you are sleeping -- no light in the room, but not in other situation. The clock looks nice, functions okay. The big problem is the brightness -- far from being enough. I have to turn off the light to see it.
This is a basic alarm clock. There is an error in the product description. There is no day, date or temperature function.
